Something crashed, a score looks wrong, or the app is not behaving. Tell me your iPhone model, your iOS version, and the version number from Menu → Version — that is usually enough to reproduce it.

Common questions

How is my score worked out?

By distance, not by timing directly. When you tap, the game measures how far the moving shape's center was from the outline's center at that exact instant and turns it into 0–100: Perfect (100), Great (85–99), Good (55–84), OK (20–54), Miss (under 20). The ring burst you see is a true picture of where those bands are.

Why does Perfect feel almost impossible?

Because it is meant to be a bullseye rather than a better Great. At base speed the shape crosses the Perfect radius in roughly 25 milliseconds. The window also narrows as the speed ramps up through a session, so Perfect gets rarer the longer you last.

Is the Daily Challenge the same for everyone?

Yes. It is generated from the date, so every player on a given day gets the same ten rounds — the same shapes, entry directions and speeds.

What is different about Chaos?

Two things. Each shape gets a single pass across the screen rather than bouncing back and forth, so a missed window does not come round again; and some of the shapes that fly in do not match the outline. Freezing one of those is a penalty — points taken off rather than a low score.

Do I need Game Center to play?

No. Personal bests and play history are stored on your device and work offline, signed in or not. Game Center only adds the leaderboards. If sign-in is not working, check Settings → Game Center on your iPhone; the app never asks for a separate account.

How do I clear my scores and history?

Everything Outline stores lives on your device with the app, so deleting the app removes all of it. Scores you have already posted to a Game Center leaderboard are held by Apple and managed through your Game Center account rather than by me.
